LGM-35A Sentinel Propulsion Engineer
**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Senior Aerospace Engineer to support the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, the Sentinel ICBM Program. You will play a crucial role in providing guidance and oversight throughout the lifecycle of the acquisition of the Sentinel Weapon System, from planning, to development, production, and delivery. **About the Role:** The Sentinel Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) team is responsible for evaluating the design of solid rocket motors, guidance, navigation, and control equipment, and the post-boost liquid propulsion systems of missile. In this role, you will work in the Post Boost Propulsion Branch, focusing on development and delivery of liquid rocket motor systems. The Sentinel Program is an enormous and complex Mega-Project modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without a doubt, Sentinel is one of the Department of Defense s (DoD) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment or replacement of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. Sentinel is one of the DoD s newest official programs of record, having recently achieved Acquisitions Milestone B and enjoys broad, strong support at the national level. It is a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to deploy over a nine-year period beginning in 2026 and remaining operational until at least 2075. This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to the special-access classified working environment and is not conducive to regular telework or remote schedules. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Required Education, Experience, & Skills: + A Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or mathematics + The ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance + 7 years of relevant experience (5 years with a MS degree) + Experience with MBSE Software (e.g. Cameo, Rhapsody) + Familiarity with relationship traceability in digital architectures + Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions + Adaptability and resilience in managing project complexities and navigating challenges that arise during execution. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards + Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills + Values innovative approaches, brainstorming and changing the status quo + Possesses both strategic thinking skills and tactical execution skills **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders through presentations, meeting, or reports + Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and collaboration, to foster teamwork and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders + Experience in MBSE modeling, e.g., DOORS, SysML, Delligatti + ICBM Weapon System experience + Experience with DoD acquisition programs **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
