The preferred hiring amount is between $15.00 - $16.00 an hour ($31,200.00 - $33,280.00 annually). This position performs semi-skilled and clerical duties providing routine maintenance and repairs for upkeep of Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL) facilities and equipment, under the general supervision of the Assistant Library Director. The JMRL retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time. + Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on library facilities and equipment. + Performs mail metering, courier service, and receiving, inspecting, and delivering incoming materials. + Cleans buildings and grounds. + Maintains grounds, including mowing. + Removes snow or debris from sidewalks and other areas, as needed. + Empties and disposes of trash as needed. + Operations a vehicle to perform job responsibilities. + Coordinates with City maintenance workers and outside contractors. + Responsible for appropriate use and maintenance of JMRL equipment, tools, and other resources, including work time. + Regular and reliable attendance. Our plan has a 5 year vesting period and an employee contribution of 5% of salary. + A Defined Contribution 401a plan in which fixed contributions are paid into an individual's account by the employer, the contributions are invested, returns (positive or negative) are credited to the account, and the account balance is used to provide retirement benefits.
