(GB) we are constantly seeking skilled professionals who are up for a challenge and take exceptional performance to heart. The Technical Services division of GB (GBTS) is looking to hire an Asbestos Remediation Consultant to work and support the Environmental practice area in our suburban Chicago, Illinois regional office. The position will include primarily asbestos field assessment/air sampling, remediation project management oversight, and report preparation. Job Details: Pay $30-$55/hr. depending on experience/licenses Travel to Job site and Lab Possible work outside normal business hours, including weekends This position is a contract with the possibility of moving to a permanent position. It will be a W-2 position. We are not able to do 1099 or C2C. You must meet our U.S. Eligibility requirements for work authorization as noted under "Additional Informatin" at the bottom of the job description. How you'll make an impact Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform project management and air sampling fieldwork and related duties for Illinois school asbestos remediation projects. Ability to analysis of air samples by phase contrast microscopy (PCM, NIOSH 582) preferred, but not required. About You Requirements: Valid Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Project Manager (PM) and Air Sampling Professional (ASP) licenses. NIOSH 582 – Sampling and Evaluating Airborne Asbestos Fiber certification and training. Ability to pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respiratory protection. Must have valid driver's license and dependable automobile transportation available. Ability to negotiate non-public access areas, climbing, extended periods of walking/standing, lifting/carrying 25+ pounds. Job may require after-hours work, weekend work and some travel. Competency in high school level mathematics a minimum. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
