The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span. The position is based out of a hospital with a hybrid schedule.
Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health issues
Provide crisis intervention for adults and children.
Work with physicians and health professionals to plan treatments.
Develop and coordinate treatment programs for psychiatric disorders.
Consult with staff on diagnoses and treatment plans.
Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Counsel patients and families on treatment compliance.
Maintain treatment records and progress notes.
Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries.
Report safety concerns to mandated agencies.
Refer patients to case managers and community support services.
Use public and private resources to meet patient needs.
Collaborate with physicians on psychotropic medication evaluations.
Screen and evaluate patients for medications.
Supervise PSW Assistants, Interns, and other clinical staff if qualified.
Provide emergency psychiatric care during on-call hours.
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs.
Participate in departmental program development and evaluation.
Conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
Support patients' families and explain treatments.
Consultation and Specialized Procedures
Provide consultation on mental health and behavioral medicine.
Administer specialized therapeutic procedures as needed
+ Minimum Requirements:
+ Master’s degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
+ Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required
+ Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
