Job DescriptionProSidian Seeks Clinical Social Workers OR Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) who will be based in South Korea to support a U.S. Federal Government Contract Requirement on a 2-year contract (base + 1). This will either be a GS-11 RUS (for an LPC) or a GS-12 RUS (LCSW-C). We just submitted questions to the government and the proposal is due August 24. These professionals shall be based at Camp Humphreys - Korea, also known as United States Army Garrison-Humphreys (a United States Army garrison located near Anjeong-RI and Pyeongtaek metropolitan areas in South Korea).
The LMSW/LCSW will provide supportive counseling and conduct psychosocial assessments and provide referrals to support organizations. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team of MDs, NPs, RNs the LMSW/LCSW will assess psychological and cognitive functioning and organize and lead support groups for stakeholders (patients, clients, patients, leadership, war-fighters, families, and care givers).
Clinical Social Workers OR Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive clinical psychosocial assessments. Develop and implement treatment plans and maintain plan updates in the electronic medical record. Advocate for and obtain appropriate services. Provide or obtain concrete and supportive services. Participate in supervision, staff meetings, in-services, and training.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience with cancer patients and skill in oral communication, written communication, problem-solving/assessment, teamwork, team building/team leader, group process facilitation, documentation accuracy, customer service, interpersonal relations, creativity/innovation, adaptability, decision making, and conflict resolution.Coordinates the socio-economic needs and service of selected member populations across the continuum of illness. Interviews, coordinates and plans activities and behavioral routines to meet the social and medical needs of members and their families.May manages members with a severe mental illness who have high rates of behavioral health utilization and/or severe psychosocial vulnerability. Provides support and/or intervention and assists members in understanding the implications and complexities of their current medical situation and/or overall personal care.May assume a behavioral health leadership role within the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes. Works with the Case Management to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate services and outcomes to maximize the health of the Member.Clinical Social Workers OR Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) Requirement: Meet the minimum standards described for the following functional labor category considered as a key personnel by the Government:
be Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) with a Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in social work.have a valid unrestricted license from a State, the District of Columbia, a U.S. Commonwealth, or a U.S. Territory that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.be able to practice at the independent level without requiring state-mandated clinical supervision and demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of social work services.have experience in brief behavioral interventions, critical incident event management, public speaking, and case management.have professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence; $3,000,000 aggregate.have a minimum of six years of full-time counseling experience post- licensure; documented counseling supervision, oversight, and management experience.have an understanding of law enforcement, as well as the military lifestyle and culture.shall effectively communicate with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel, officers, senior military and civilian leadership, spouses and other family members.be well-versed in crisis debriefing, individual and family counseling, case management, and training.be able to develop, prepare and present formal briefings and speeches to USACIDC leadership (at all echelons).Essential Functions:
Participates in and supports developed care plans for members with high-level acuity needs utilizing social service expertise to evaluate the members need for alternative services and third party needs.Outreaches to members telephonically and/or in-person and coordinates member's case management services.Interacts continuously with members, family, physician(s), and other resources to determine appropriate behavioral action needed to address/support medical needs. Reviews benefit options, researches community resources, coordinates services, trains/creates behavioral routines and enables members to be active participants in their own healthcare.Provides telephone follow-up to ensure members have seen their PCP and are completing their treatment plan or preventive care services a defined by the PCP or guidelines.Coordinates community resources with emphasis on the development of natural support system. Coordinates benefits, regulations, laws, and public entitlement programs.Acts as a liaison and member advocate between the member/family, physician and facilities/agencies.Assists in obtaining benefits for members through community resources when benefits are exhausted or not available.May manage members with a severe mental illness who have high rates of behavioral health utilization and/or severe psychosocial vulnerability. Acts as team SME in order to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
-- 2-4 years relevant social work and/or health care experience with client care coordination responsibilities (preferably in long-term care).
