The Licensed Counselor responsibilities include:

Being a member of a collaborative practice model that includes patients, nurses, clinical resource coordinators, physicians, and other practitioners, caregivers, and the communityKnowledgeable about disease, treatment, social and economic implications for individuals and families as it pertains to their age, stage of psychosocial development and discharge needsPragmatic in approaching End of Life and ethical issues

Certifications and Licensures:

Required LCSW (Social Work) orRequired LMHC (Mental Health)

 Education:

Required Masters in Social Work, Mental Health, Mental Health Counseling, or Community Counseling

 Experience:

Required 6 months Internship in an acute care setting orRequired 1 year social services in an acute health care setting
