LIFE STAR helicopter services We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communitiesJob SummaryLicensed Crisis Clinician provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments within the Emergency Department making recommendations and assisting in the coordination of care for patients presenting with behavioral health and substance abuse needs while working collaboratively with the emergency department interdisciplinary teams Clinician responds to crisis calls Conducts advocacy referral and discharge planning to meet patientfamily needs Works with patientsrsquo community behavioral health and medical providers to assure coordination of clinical care Facilitates treatment process by referring patientfamily members to appropriate level of care and other resources as well as providing direct crisis intervention services This is a per diem position must be able to work minimum shifts per month mainly needed for Family Therapy requiredA minimum of two yearsrsquo experience in a psychiatric setting required preferably in an emergency departmentcrisis role four years experience preferredHighly effective verbal and written communication skills Bi lingual Spanish language skills preferredIs cognizant of health related social needs and cultural competenceRecognizes and addresses health disparities inequalities
