**Job Title: Licensed Driller** **Job Description** Licensed Drillers bore holes deep into the ground for purposes such as geological research, oil and gas production, mining exploration, water extraction, and construction or demolition. They work with specialized drilling equipment to create holes that match exact specifications. Drillers are often responsible for verifying drill locations, choosing suitable equipment, running and monitoring the drill, and enforcing safety procedures. They may also have to troubleshoot problems or make minor repairs. **Responsibilities** + Verify positions and depth of boring locations before drilling to determine if it is safe to move forward with the process. + Check gauges, monitor drilling condition and pay close attention to equipment to decide if it needs to be altered or adjusted during drilling. + Use knowledge of soil or rock conditions to determine which drill is appropriate for each job. + Stop, start and control machine drilling speed and align as well as position drills to stabilize machines. + Regulate downward pressure, rotary speed and air pressure, depending on the type of material the drill is moving through, changing procedures and settings for each individual job as needed. + Bore or drill holes in rock for routing, anchoring, blasting or building foundations, working with other members of the crew to ensure accuracy and safety. + Follow all protocol and standard operating procedures to guarantee safety and compliance on the job site and keep team members safe from injury. + Position and assemble casing pipes, augers, machines and other equipment with the appropriate hand and power tools. **Essential Skills** + Experience in construction and drilling + OSHA 40-hour certification + Experience with Hallow Stem, Air Rotary, and general construction equipment + Ability to break earth and drill micropiles (Minipiles) + Class A or B CDL is preferred + 1-2 years minimum construction experience + Experience working outdoors (utility work, concrete, grading, construction, etc.) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with skid steer, skid loader, and excavator + Knowledge in geotechnical and environmental drilling + Experience with geotechnical drilling rigs **Why Work Here?** Our company is a family-owned business with over 40 years of experience and a great reputation in the Environmental Construction space.
