Job Description
Oversees the daily operation of the campus electrical power and lighting systems. Under general supervision, install, operate, maintain, alter, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and lighting distribution systems along with a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise with a variety of building infrastructure. The individual in this role must be available for on-call work. Off-hours shifts, evening, night, and weekend work may be required. The position may be called upon to perform other general maintenance and support duties on an as-needed basis.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the building electrical and lighting systems.Perform new installations and preventative maintenance.Serve as a subject matter expert on all electrical life safety and fire alarm systems.Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of building critical systems and components.Troubleshoot and respond to operational and emergency situations.Work on equipment in the required Arc Flash PPE, with a solid understanding of NFPA-70E.Check malfunctioning equipment and implement corrective actions.Assist other departments in the maintenance and repair of heating and cooling systems, boilers, pumps, valves, and filters.Ensure work is performed efficiently with minimal disruption.Prioritize all preventative, corrective, and emergent work orders for the site on an annual, monthly, weekly, and daily basis.Maintain a clean and safe working environment and identify and remediate all safety hazards.Essential SkillsElectrical maintenanceWiringBuilding Management Systems (BMS)Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)TroubleshootingMassachusetts licensed electricianGood interpersonal and communication skills3-5 years of experience in a biomedical facilitySolid understanding of NFPA-70E and Arc Flash PPE requirementsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrior knowledge of working within a GMP environment is a plus.Familiarity with BMS and CMMS systemsSkills in repair, conduit, and pneumaticsPhysically able to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment.Able to work in confined spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, and vaults.Able to work on building roofs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a biopharma manufacturing campus with office buildings. It includes working in different areas such as roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces. The role requires wearing specific personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in close proximity to other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
