EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Master’s degree in social work, counseling, education or other relevant human service profession, with two years’ experience in children and family services. Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes. Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to a team. Very good interpersonal/communication and strong clinical skills. Ability to internalize and work within the FFT philosophy and model. Bilingual Spanish is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide, at a minimum, weekly one-hour, home-based FFT family therapy sessions. Carry a caseload of 10 to 15 families for a duration of 8 to 26 weeks. Schedule sessions according to family availability. Actively participate as integral part of the CCBHC multidisciplinary team including family care plan and collaboration. Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports. Perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records. Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness. Provide clinical care to the children and adolescents as appropriate. Work with respect and humility for cultural diversity. Participate in all trainings on the Whole Family Health Model. And other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Certified to practice the evidence-based FFT model with families who have adolescents between the ages of 10 and 18. Commitment to empowering families to solve their own problems. Highly skilled and knowledgeable in treating mental illness, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Adapt and individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skills. Intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect family members. Demonstrated commitment of the value of diversity, equity and inclusion.
