This position will lead the overall service needs for veterans within our transitional housing programs and those placed in permanent housing. Services will include site and home visits to monitor housing stability and provide a full range of social service's needs.\n
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY\n\nProvides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and a full range of social services to participants.\nResponsible for documentation needs through case notes and evaluations in participants' files.\nProvide direct services to veterans through coordinated and safe settings and outreach sites.\nProvide direct and indirect resources and services available for needs addressed by the veteran. Provide timely follow-up and follow-through practices.\nProvide veterans with VA and other public benefits such as health care, daily living, personal financial planning, transportation, fiduciary and payee, legal, childcare, housing counseling, employment and training opportunities, and temporary financial assistance.\nRefer direct services to veterans tailored to meet each veteran's unique needs.\nResponsible for understanding grant requirements and achieving goal outcomes of our programming.\nResponsible for conducting self-audits on files as necessary to ensure proper data documentation and audit readiness.\nResponsible for any reporting needs.\n\n
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nLICSW - licensed independent clinical social worker- required\nMaster's Degree in Social Work or Related Field plus a minimum of 5-years' experience in outreach, case management, and supervision. Doctor of Social Work Preferred. \nManagement\/clinical supervisory experience required\nMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.\nDemonstrated knowledge and experience in working with veteran population; sensitivity to veterans-related needs and issues.\nKnowledge of current career preparation, technology-based, and competency-oriented training methodologies.\nProvide a positive image for the program, being a role model and empathetic support for the clients, while maintaining professional distance and objectivity. \nGood communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including techniques for positive motivation, handling difficult people, and teamwork. \nKnowledge of service areas, job market, economic and political trends, and resources.\nMust be able to pass a CORI Background records check.\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.\n\n
