Our dedicated mental health team clearly understands that our continued success in treating our patient population must address the patient’s comprehensive mental health needs and the most important patient we will ever see is the one sitting in front of us. Your contributions to our success requires you to be valued as a leader in your field of expertise and as an expert in HIV related mental health related issues. As a valued mental health leader and through your contributions, you would find meaningfulness and purposefulness by also adding value to our Mission, staff, and patients. The Mental Health Provider is considered an expert at providing short-term therapy for individuals, couples, families and/or groups of clients. Drawing upon your experience and skills, you would be essential in performing mental health triage/ referral/ coordination to clients, including directing clients to the appropriate level of mental health care: including medication management, neuropsychological testing, day treatment programs, substance abuse services and inpatient hospitalization.
The Mental Health Provider collaborates with the client’s Primary Care Provider on a regular basis. Your feedback at multidisciplinary treatment team meetings would be highly respected. In addition, you would thrive as a mental health consultant on HIV issues to our clients and their families, to the general public, as well as to governmental regulatory agencies.
