McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a Licensed Industrial Mechanic for our Prepared Foods plant in Florenceville – Bristol, NB. Please note that this position is physically demanding and requires working rotating shifts.

What you’ll do:

Responsible for mechanical breakdown and proactive repairs of all equipment in the Florenceville Prepared Foods FacilityObserve equipment and component conditions while doing jobs, and provide feedback as appropriateProvide all information requested on feedback forms as part of completing jobsEffectively use SAP system for work ordersWork rotating shifts, including evenings and weekendsDevelop and maintain a productive working relationship with production and maintenance colleaguesMaintain an excellent attendance recordPerform all other duties as they arise

 

Your Skills & Experience:

Fully licensed industrial mechanic.  Consideration may be given to a recent graduate from a 40-week community college industrial mechanic program.Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasksAbility to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environmentStrong working knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to successfully work individually or collaboratively with othersMust work with a sense of urgencyPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment considered an assetSuccessful completion of a 90 day training period
