PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK) In a state agency facility or hospital this class is accountable for providing clinical social work services to a limited number of agency clients under the guidance of a licensed clinical social worker or other licensed clinical professional. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Possess the credentials of a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience providing clinical documentation which includes treatment planning, progress notes and assessments. + Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. + Experience providing both traditional and non-traditional interventions to support recovery goals and maintain a safe and therapeutic trauma-informed environment. + Experience providing behavioral health services within Outpatient and Community Based settings. + Experience with writing assessments for Medicare and Joint Commission Standards. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS + Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. § 1320a-7b(f). + Incumbents in this class may be required to have knowledge of sign language and communication ability with the deaf and hearing impaired in certain designated positions. + Incumbents in this class may be required to have ability in Spanish oral and written communication in certain designated positions. + Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
