Job Description:

Note: Candidates must be available to work in the three following locations: Princeton, Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel.

Our customers depend on Wegmans pharmacies to provide the best service possible when it comes to their health. In this role, you’ll oversee the entire operations of the pharmacy department and will be responsible for everything from setting and achieving department goals, to managing a team of pharmacists, team leaders and technicians. You’ll use strong managerial skills and passion for helping others to ensure customers have a unique and personal pharmacy experience!

What will I do?

Oversee all operations essential to successful operations of the Pharmacy, including required tracking, paperwork (department projections, payroll), workflow, ordering, scheduling, employee training, prompt resolution of issues, etc.

Set and achieve goals with Pharmacists and Team Leaders, holding them accountable for financial measures of sales and contribution, and people measures of retention, diversity, and development, educating them on factors such as labor, shrink, inventory, gross margin, and generic utilization

Manage workflow and product dispensing, assist as necessary and ensure employees are utilizing preferred methods; partner with other members of management to evaluate workflow practices and identify continuous improvement opportunities

Partner with the store manager and other store leadership to champion company initiatives in the department and throughout the store; work cross-functionally to incorporate programs in the Pharmacy and vice versa

Continuously self-educate about products and business trends and analyze these along with customer trends, market data and financial reports to increase profitability

Ensure the department focus remains on providing incredible service, communicate expectations to employees and hold them accountable for the service they provide

Interview, select and arrange training of new team members, and manage personnel issues

Work hands-on with employees to teach, encourage, and empower them to take on new responsibilities while utilizing training and career development planning tools to monitor progress

Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree 

Pharmacist State License (may require licensing in multiple states) 

Computer skills 

Preferred Qualifications:

Pharmacy experience 

External managerial/supervisory experience including interviewing, selection, performance management, employee development and managing financials
