**Job Title: Licensed Plumber**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a licensed commercial plumber who is looking to join a growing company. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for a company that treats them like family and expects the same treatment from the candidate. The company is safety-oriented and has not had an accident in the past 3 years. The ideal candidate will have a hustler mentality that works well in team settings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and comprehend plans and specifications.
+ Read and comprehend plumbing fixture and fitting submittal drawings and installation instructions.
+ Understand the requirements of the 2015 International Plumbing Code and associated State of CT amendments.
+ Communicate orally, in writing, and/or by hand or electronic sketches on topics related to the work.
+ Have a good working knowledge of pipe joining methods: solder, brazing, silver soldering, pro-press, pex fittings, threading, and grooving.
+ Possess basic knowledge of various plumbing systems: DWV, domestic water, various gas systems, compressed air.
+ Utilize technology software and equipment provided by the company for reporting time, purchases, and other activities related to the position.
+ Work independently or with a team.
**Essential Skills**
+ Valid State of CT driver’s license.
+ Currently valid State of CT trade licenses: P1 or P2.
+ High School or equivalent degree as a minimum.
+ OSHA 10/30 certification (training is available).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Certifications in medical gas piping or certificate to do backflow preventer testing and repairs are beneficial but not required.
+ Honesty and integrity in all situations.
+ Cleanliness and respect for company property.
+ Adherence to company mission statement and policies.
+ Thorough and diligent in each aspect of the position.
+ Quality-conscious attitude in your craft.

**Work Environment**
You will be traveling to different job sites throughout the state of Connecticut. This role involves working outdoors on ground-up construction sites.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut.
