**Overview** The Licensed Plumber performs a wide variety of plumbing tasks, including inspection, upkeep and repair. This position will work at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. **Basic Qualifications:** + Must be 18 years of age or older + A high school diploma or GED + A valid plumber’s license + Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs + Time management skills + Ability to drive company vehicles to various commercial and residential sites for work + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations + Understanding of current field regulations **Preferred Qualifications:** + Three (3) or more years of trade experience as a plumber or plumber’s apprentice **Responsibilities:** + Safely use hand and power tools to perform repairs, installations and maintenance according to building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices + Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures + Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians and other construction professionals + Follow building plans and blueprints + Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies as directed by the plumber or foreperson + Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems + Keep accurate records of work orders, detailed work progress, labor and materials + Military and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply + Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Code: 12K \#400 \#LI-JW2 REQNUMBER: 100502 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
