Responsibilities:

Establishes Appropriate and Effective Communication Strategies: Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the health care team. Demonstrate awareness of cultural diversity, horizontal violence, and impairment in the health professions. Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including Infection Control Precautions. Recognize hazards, report incidents promptly, and investigate in accordance with policies and regulations. Resident Care: Participate in resident care conferences. Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care concerns. Instruct and demonstrate care. Observe and record residents’ symptoms, conditions, and reactions to medications and treatments. Professional Development: Participate in self-review as requested by the Unit Manager. Constructively receive feedback and direction. Request assistance for planning and prioritizing activities. Stay informed about established medication use policies. Team Collaboration: Assist the RN and interdisciplinary team in evaluating, planning, and implementing care plans. Suggest and support changes within the department. Discuss resident or family concerns with the RN in charge for appropriate resolution.
