GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse to work full-time in anticipation for a future position at Hurlburt Field AFB, Florida.

 

Job Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Certificate. Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another acceptable accreditation body outlined in the TO. 

Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS) – Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR). 

Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse. 

Certifications: Basic Life Support

 

Job Duties: 

Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms for medical provider visit. Obtains and documents, in the electronic medical record (EMR), subjective and objective data regarding the patient accurately and concisely.Complete assigned patient care based on the patients’ conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information.Observe, identify and respond to the patient’s needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.
