What you’ll do:
As the site Licensed Practice Nurse, you will be primarily responsible for the health care of the students. In this role, you will:
Order and administer medication per providers orders Transcribe providers orders in the medical record to the medication administration records Accurate and prompt documentation in the health record Obtain vital signs and BMI, perform basic vision exam, administer IM injections Collect specimens (i.e., blood, saliva) and prepare for lab courier Assist chronic care clinic (i.e., diabetes, asthma, obesity) Manage daily sick-call and adhere to the nursing protocols Educate students about their health Maintain clean and tidy workspace Collaborate with peers to meet the needs of the department and campus Monitor medical supply inventory and report when needs ordering Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.
To be considered, you should:
Have a High School diploma or equivalent and possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from the state in which employed. Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs. Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
