Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Quality SDS/PSV Operations Department. The ideal candidate will review medical records for data collection, entry, and quality monitoring to close gaps in care. The role involves medical record review and abstraction for HEDIS and HEDIS-like measures, responding to Clinical Quality inquiries, and maintaining HIPAA standards.
ResponsibilitiesReview medical records for data collection, entry, and quality monitoring to close gaps in care.Perform medical record review and abstraction for HEDIS and HEDIS-like measures.Respond to incoming Clinical Quality inquiries from various communication venues.Conduct data mining.Maintain HIPAA standards and confidentiality of protected health information; report critical incidents immediately.Prioritize and organize work to meet agreed upon deadlines.Communicate identification of pursuit leads for additional medical records to team members.Attend conference calls to provide information relating to clinical reviews and compliance.Essential SkillsExperience in medication administrationProficiency in EMR systemsStrong nursing skillsExperience administering injectionsMedical record managementPatient care expertiseAbility to take vital signsExperience with EpicKnowledge of healthcare managementCare managementClinical care experienceManaged care and utilization managementAcute care experienceRN licenseQualifications2 years of HEDIS experience and/or knowledgeTexas LPN or LVN licenseSolid understanding of managed care requirements related to clinical qualityStrong medical record review and abstraction skillsCustomer service experienceData entry skillsWork Environment
You will work with the Quality SDS/PSV Operations staff to assist with data collection of DSNP data. The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, 8 AM to 5 PM CST. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
