Description The LPN will assist the provider throughout clinic with duties including but not limited to: - Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment. Accurately records history and performs basic triage procedures per policy. - Retrieves initial basic condition of patients, creates nursing history and reports to appropriate practitioner. - Assists providers with examinations and procedures - Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc. - Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment. - Inspects area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur. - Schedules all outside patient appointments per physician order and relays accurately to patients. - Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relays appropriate information to practitioner in a timely manner. - Assure test results are received and relayed to the patient in a timely manner. - Completes medical orientation checklist. - Initiates appropriate patient education.
