Join our team in a cross-trained LPN role, providing care in Med/Surg and Emergency Department settings. Take patient assignments at the full scope of your license, using sound judgment and following UPMC guidelines under RN or licensed provider direction.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care in collaboration with healthcare team members, using sound judgment and clinical skills. Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based on focused assessments. Communicate with RN or healthcare team when care exceeds scope of practice or patient condition changes. Follow UPMC LPN Practice Guidelines, policies, and State Practice Act. Assist in formulating care plans and setting daily goals in a holistic, patient-centered manner. Document patient conditions comprehensively to promote clear communication with the care team. Support patient safety, quality, and satisfaction by following system goals and improving patient experiences. Provide teaching to patients and families for care transitions and home care. Mentor and develop new LPNs and support staff, seeking feedback and professional growth. Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements for better patient care. Maintain a balance between work and personal life while promoting a healthy lifestyle and safe work practices
