Licensed Practical Nurse - Birth Place/Labor & Delivery (part-time)
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** **Description:** Our Birthplace/ Labor & Deliver unit is comprised of eight Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms, nine Triage/Recovery beds, and three Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum rooms designated as the Birthplace. We also have two surgical delivery rooms. A total of 20 beds facilitates family centered care for low and high risk antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum mothers and newborns. St. Joseph's Health is one of only two hospitals in New York State to be recognized in Newsweek's 2021 list of Best Maternity Hospitals. Nationally, only 217 facilities met Leapfrog safety standards for excellence in maternity care by following important protocols to protect moms and babies and maintaining low rates of C-section, episiotomy and early elective deliveries. In addition, we provide surgical procedures and triage for GYN patients. Exposure Class I **Physical Demands:** + Medium work: must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently; occasionally lifting maximum of 50 pounds. Will require ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach. **Work Contact Group:** + All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, and various regulatory and professional agencies. Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.95 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
