Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition. At UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor, our goal is to improve access to mental health resources for those in Erie and the surrounding counties.

We are now seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that will partner alongside of our prescribers, therapists and case managers to assist the underserved in our community who are experiencing mental health related illness or substance abuse.  

In your role as an LPN, you will participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care using focused assessment and sound judgement. May provide care and IV therapy aligned with UPMC’s LPN Practice Guidelines and policies in accordance with the State Board regulations.

Our ideal hire for this position must have an active LPN license in good standing. Should be flexible and CPR certified. Prior experience in a mental health setting is preferred, but not required. This is a daylight position, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p. The dress code is business casual and parking is provided on site at no cost to you!

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care using sound judgement. Plan, implement, and evaluate care. Communicate when care exceeds scope or if a patient’s condition changes.  Follow policies and seek guidance. Set goals and care plans with patients. Document and communicate thoroughly. Improv patient safety, qualify and satisfaction.  Build relationships and support new staff.  Perform duties as assigned.
