NaphCare is partnering with Everhealth to hire Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to join our team of medical professionals in the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon City, OR.

 

Pay rates range from $42.63 to $45.00 per hour based on employment status, shift, site needs, licensure, and experience.

 

As a Correctional Nurse, you’ll work within a controlled environment where security is paramount, and the days are never dull! You’ll have a variety of work to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies, all while working with correctional officers to ensure safety for all.

Responsibilities

Duties / Responsibilities

As an LPN, you’ll play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:

Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication historyTaking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weightProviding wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areasAdministering medication, including injections of medications and monitoring reaction to medsMaintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCareObserving patient health and mental health statusProviding emergency first aidProviding patient education and discharge/release planning Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing 

 

Experience / Skills

New graduates are encouraged to apply!Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationDisplay integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements

 

Licenses / Certifications

Actively state certified as a Licensed Vocational NursePossess an active CPR certification

 

Physical Capabilities:

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
