Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN (PRN)

Our Langhorne residential program provides gender-specific, individualized recovery services for adult men and women in Bucks County and surrounding areas. Our program also teaches women how to safely cope with physical, psychological and emotional trauma without the use of substances, empowering them to overcome feelings of victimization and move toward a life of wellness and personal growth. Men in our treatment program at Langhorne live on-site in a structured setting where they receive education, therapy and medical care to assist them in working through personal issues and ultimately overcoming their addiction. Our LPN's and RN's ensure labs are being addressed, reviewed, obtaining and transcribing of physician orders.

Schedule:

PRN 7:00pm - 7:00am and weekends

Partial Job Description

Work as a team member with other nurses, providers and other caring professionals. Multitasker, decisive, excellent problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills Communicate with other disciplines to ensure client needs are being met, involved in chart monitor-identify and carry out action plans. Review and follow detox protocols Assist staff in high volume shifts, prioritizing and organizing the shift, completion of the unit scheduling. Orientation of new nurses as needed Maintain medical equipment Conduct medical lectures for clients as needed Administer medications and complete MAR Complete labs necessary for treatment (HCG, urine, BAC, glucometer) Administer IM and SQ medications and Narcan as needed Ensure labs are being addressed, reviewed, obtaining and transcribing of physician orders. Follow proper consent procedures. Involved in Performance Improvement Projects. Maintain staff development needs and ensure records are up to date. Nursing competency and evaluation completion. Follow Evidence Based Practice guidelines Continued nursing training and monthly meetings to increase professional development. Nursing assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, vitals, follow detox protocols and other medical protocols along with assisting medical provider as needed. Other duties as assigned.
