Astria Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! This will be in our Med Surg department at our Sunnyside Hospital. This is a night shift position with 12 hours shifts and 48 hours per pay period.
What you get to do every day!
As the Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider, and general clinical duties. You will:
• Perform basic medical procedures within licensure as per policy.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of recording in patient's clinic records.
• Prepare patient to be seen by the provider. Collaborate with Providers to ensure efficiency of schedules and continuity of care. Discusses patients scheduled for the day including pre-visit prep.
• Update phone notes and acts as the intermediary between the provider and the patient.
• Respond to requests from patients and pharmacies for medication refills.
• Complete insurance forms, home health forms, disability forms, and other patient forms as needed.
• Take patient histories and vital signs. Documents information accurately using appropriate forms and charting format in health care information record.
• Assist the provider during examinations, in-office procedures and treatments.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
• Adhere to the core values and standards of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
One or more years of direct work experience in healthcare.
