JOB AD:  Licensed Practical Nurse Introduction :    Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for LPNs/LVNs to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical care in our Veteran Administration facilities throughout the United States. Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the Charleston, SC VA health system. Johnson VA Medical Center Location:   United States, Charleston, SC Minimum Qualifications: + Degree : Certificate. Graduation from a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program + Education : Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another acceptable accreditation body outlined in the TO. + Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : ACLS + Experience : Med Surg/Long Term Care/Psychiatric Mental Health/Primary Care- minimum 2 years current experience (must have worked within the last six months) in a medical/surgical unit + Licensure : Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse Benefits :   + Virtual Interviews + Variable of locations throughout the United States.   + Contract: Year-long assignment + Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends + Detailed pay rates will be outlined in the initial interview phase Physical Requirements: + Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day + Able to distinguish between basic colors + Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print + Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations + Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing + Advanced medical and anatomical skills + Knowledge of general surgery practices + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills + Strong motor skills and manual dexterity + Ability to work long and irregular hours + Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail + Ability to remain calm and focused on stressful situations + Organizational and time management skills Aspen Medical is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
