Sheppard Pratt is seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide direct clinical services including psychotherapy, psycho-educational, skills, assessments, and therapeutic groups to assigned individuals and groups. The Psychologist performs a broad range of services within an interdisciplinary team framework for adolescents and/or adults in the inpatient, partial/day hospital, and intensive outpatient program setting. These duties include individualized treatment planning, case conceptualization, provision of individual and family education, and treatment delivery through psycho-educational, skills, therapeutic groups, and individual therapy. Duties may also include completion of psychological assessments when needed. Additionally, this role will include consultation to aid other programs within the organization, and provision of clinical supervision and didactic training for trainees and new recruits.
Responsibilities:
Conducts clinical interviews and provides therapeutic interventions to patients and their families. Provides treatment across a range of modalities to include individual and group psychotherapy. Administers and interprets psychological tests and completes comprehensive psychological evaluations or targeted assessments to present treatment centered information regarding diagnoses of psychiatric conditions and underlying capacities and challenges of individuals. Completes individual workload and responsibilities in accordance with program requirements. Presents patient cases in regularly scheduled meetings to discuss status and updates as required. Participates in treatment program planning, monitors patients’ progress, and maintains appropriate records and documentation. Coordinates aftercare services for patients to ensure continuity of care. Provides consultation and teaching to other treatment team clinicians and staff. Providing clinical supervision and didactic training for training purposes.Requirements:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA accredited program in clinical or counseling. Current, valid license in Maryland as a Psychologist or license eligible in the State of Maryland. Demonstrated expertise in assessing and treating patients with comorbid psychiatric disorders. Highly effective and clear written and verbal communication, analytic, and critical thinking skills. Superlative interpersonal skills to effectively interact with emotionally dysregulated patients and maintain effective, collaborative, and supportive work relationships. Emphasis on one’s own self-awareness and self-care to manage burnout and fatigue. Basic computer skills, timely completing of documentation to meet important deadlines and adhere to accreditation requirements.About Sheppard Pratt:
