Job Title: Adult Clinician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Adult Clinician to join our team. This role involves ensuring adherence to infection control practices, making referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention, and collecting urine specimens for drug screening. Additionally, the Adult Clinician will orient new patients to treatment programs, identify potential customers, and provide them with information about our programs. The role also includes completing required paperwork in a timely fashion, maintaining customer confidentiality, providing ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers, and participating in team meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure adherence to infection control practices.
+ Make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention.
+ Collect urine specimens for drug screening.
+ Orient new patients to treatment programs.
+ Identify potential customers and provide them with information about our programs.
+ Complete required paperwork in a timely fashion and maintain customer confidentiality.
+ Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers.
+ Participate in team meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
+ Collaborate with community providers regarding program content areas.
+ Deliver presentations about programs to various agencies and other referring agencies on a monthly basis.
Essential Skills
+ Master's degree in social work or related field with a license (LCSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC, LICSW or LMSW).
+ Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use.
+ Proficient in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes.
+ Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bi-lingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
+ Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use and/or mental illness, domestic violence, and/or any other applicable training related to the field of work is preferred.
+ Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds with the ability to interact and communicate effectively.
+ Knowledge of Human Services, Court systems, substance use, and target populations is essential.
+ Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford with the demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with other service providers.
Work Environment
The work environment is a standard office setting with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00
