NaphCare is currently hiring Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LMHCs, LMFTs, LPCs, etc.) just like you at the Mesa County Detention located in Grand Junction, CO. Day Shifts, Night Shifts, PRN Shifts, and 13-week contracts are available. Pay rates range per hour based on type of license, certification, Shift, FT, PRN, temporary contract, site needs, licensure, and experience.

  Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):

 

Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes and suicide watch notesCoordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients’ mental health care and release datesParticipate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staffDemonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteriaProvide goal oriented intervention directed toward management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness; strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related to chronic illnessCounsel and provide intervention to assist in the transition to being incarceratedDocument thoroughly all tasks as stated in client’s medical record to maintain social work recording and statisticsInitiates and/or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials and providing group therapy Qualifications

Qualifications for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):

 

Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure as a ( LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LISW,  etc. ) in Colorado.A valid CPR cardA minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a mental health care setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferredMust have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.
