Briarcliff Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Our well-established, AAHA-accredited 8-doctor practice is open Monday - Saturday. 

Our wide range of services include primary care, illness care, soft tissue and laparoscopic surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, ultrasound, laser therapy, boarding, grooming, and much more.  We see dogs, cats, and some of our doctors see exotic species as well.

About the Role

As LVT, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, clients, and team. Duties will include:

Compassionate patient careClient education and careVenipuncture and catheter placementMedication preparation and administrationRadiology and diagnosticsLab sample collection and processingSafe and effective patient handling and restraintMedical recordkeepingSurgical preparation and assistingAnesthesia induction, monitoring and recoveryDentistry - cleaning, polishing, radiology, charting, etc.

Qualifications:

Georgia Veterinary Technician license or eligible to obtain (completion of AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program, VTNE, etc.)Compassion for patients, clients and teamSolid knowledge of preventative care, common illnesses and emergencies, veterinary nursing, anesthesia, and dentistry strongly preferredProficient in technical skills like blood draws, catheter placement, medication and fluid therapy administration, diagnostics, anesthesiaAble to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handlingProficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records

Compensation: Based on skills, credentials, education, and experience.

Qualifications:

Georgia Veterinary Technician license (LVT) or eligible to obtain license upon hire requiredCompassion for patients, clients and teamSolid knowledge and experience with veterinary anesthesia, surgical nursing, dentistry, preventative care, common illnesses and emergenciesProficient in technical skills like blood draws, catheter placement, medication and fluid therapy administration, diagnostics, anesthesiaExperience with surgical instruments and equipmentAble to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handlingProficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records
