Position Summary: As an Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your role will include anesthesia, surgical assistance, and dentistry. You will also lead and mentor a team of passionate veterinary assistants, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and that new team members are trained effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in surgeries and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and surgical preparationProvide anesthesia support and manage patient recoveryPerform dental cleanings and dental radiographsLead and mentor a team of veterinary assistants, providing guidance and trainingWork closely with veterinarians to perform patient assessments and provide quality careEnsure proper documentation of patient records, including treatment and proceduresHelp manage clinic workflow, ensuring efficiency and patient care standards are metEducate clients on at-home care, preventive treatments, and health concernsMaintain medical equipment and inventory, ensuring everything is in working orderMaintain a safe and sterile environment in all treatment areas

Qualifications:

Current state licensure as a Veterinary Technician (LVT)At least 2 years of experience as an LVT, with proficiency in anesthesia, surgical assistance, and dentistryStrong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train team membersExcellent communication skills and a passion for patient careAbility to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA positive, compassionate attitude and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of animals and their families
