Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN – Heart & Vascular Specialists – Full-Time, Days Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled LVN   Work location:  6300 W. We pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients and team Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (required) LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (required) Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required) Cardiac experience (preferred) 2 years of recent Medical Clinic experience (preferred) ACLS or BCLS (required) Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients Demonstrate sound judgment and composure Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism Efficient time management skills   What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process Assists physician performing specific nursing care as it relates to cardiology Educates patient and family about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions Communicates with external and internal customers, i.e., physician office, hospitals, imaging centers, etc. Updates patient charts, provides medication reconciliation, and refills prescriptions Performs other duties as assigned   Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.
