Licensing Coordinator – Relicensing and Support (Orange, Osceola and Seminole)

Salary: $49,000/year POSITION OBJECTIVE: Under the direction of the Licensing Supervisor, the coordinator is responsible for collecting, organizes, monitoring, and distributing information ensuring compliance to and/or documentation of quality management standards for the successful completion of the levels of licensure for foster care applications promoting compliance with regulatory requirements through partnering, supporting and coordinating with CMAs, Intake and Placement, and County Operations, to provide support to foster homes, and to ensure compliance for all licensing standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Partner, Support and Coordinate with CMAs and County Operations to ensure compliance with licensing standards in the relicensing and support of foster homes. Partner, Support and Coordinate with caregivers to complete relicense home studies. Applies mission, vision and values of lead agency in day-to-day duties. Assist the Licensing Supervisors with problem resolution and continuing quality improvement. Assist peer Licensing Specialists with the monitoring and approval of data collection, regulatory and eligibility activities, as needed Conduct licensing file packet review for processing and issuance of license by DCF. Conduct, quarterly Licensing Home Visit (include assistance with training) and documentation in FSFN Contact foster homes after initial and subsequent placements and assess to provide support to foster parents. Complete corrective action plans for foster homes and work with the CIE team Participate in foster care referrals and institutional staffings Participate in Placement Support Staffings and make recommendations about foster parent needs/supports related to children in their home in order to stabilize the placement On-call rotation after hours for foster parent support Participate in quality assurance reviews of licensing files & document any findings. Ensure licensing packets for caregivers meet code requirements, licensing expiration and DCF submission requirements. Participate in DCF licensing reviews and other applicable monitoring such as FPOCF Federal funding monitoring reviews. Participates in creation and annual reviews of Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure all policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of care requirements. Participates in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes Ability to safely & successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & other federal, state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of child welfare experience, experience in child placing licensing or appropriate knowledge of licensing and regulatory standards. Florida Child Welfare Certification PREFERRED: Knowledge of state SACWIS/CCWIS systems; FSFN Knowledge of the current System of Care SKILLS: REQUIRED: Ability to understand and interpret statute, administrative code and operating procedure Strong computer, analytic and research skills Effective verbal and written skills Good organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to develop and utilize tracking mechanisms Ability to analyze, integrate and report data Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served Ability to travel SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
