About The Role 

Reporting to the Small Group Employee Benefits Operations Lead, the Individual Life & Health Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of individual life and health insurance clients. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining strong client relationships. The Account Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored insurance solutions, and support them throughout the policy lifecycle.  

 

Responsibilities:  

Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual life and health insurance clients.  

Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly. 

Run carrier drug lists and compile information for Medicare client appointments. 

Assist with individual health, Medicare, life and disability illustrations/proposals and enrollment. 

Manage policy renewals and cancellations.

Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional insurance products.

Coordinate with insurance carriers to facilitate efficient claims resolution & guide clients through the claims process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims. 

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. 

Work with team and carriers to ensure accurate and timely responses to all outstanding issues. 

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring their satisfaction with the insurance soutions provided. 

Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, policy changes, and other relevant information - ensure client information and policy records are accurate and up to date. 

Perform regular billing audits and reconciliation. 

Attend and complete any role relevant meetings, training sessions, or assignments as required. 

Perform other tasks or projects as requested by service team or regional leadership.

Requirements:  

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence.  

High degree of critical thinking; ability to problem solve when the answer is not readily apparent.  

Demonstrated attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors.  

Understanding of federal and state legislation related to the insurance industry. 

Ability to demonstrate advanced level proficiency with a variety of technology including MS Office. 

Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment.  

Work well with minimal supervision; able to function independently and as part of a team. 

On camera attendance is required during virtual meetings and presentations.  

Education/Experience: 

High school diploma or recognized equivalent is required. 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast paced, professional office setting is required. 

Previous insurance experience is required. 

Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, or equitable experience.  

Life/Health Agent License required.

Pay Details:

Annual Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
