Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Life Cycle Engineer to join our team! In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Project Office (GMX). Candidate is required to have a wide range of skills including, but not limited to, the ability to work independently, work on a team, manage outside customers relationships with a high level of attention to detail.
What You'll Be Doing:
Plan and manage multiple complex projects
Actively participate in Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities and working groups focused on NGI Production and Lifecycle activities
Foster coordination and collaboration of Quality, Safety, Mission Assurance (QSMA) and Logistics and other outside agencies such as Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) with Production of NGI.
Establish and gain knowledge of specific contractor development activities and assist to maximize Government IPT team participation in key areas to include prototype testing, design reviews, risk reviews, contractor trade studies, and other contractor design and development efforts. Participate in engineering oversight and management of NGI contractor
Provide direct review of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Objective Evidence (OE) deliverables and/or coordinate reviews of such items with agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Track & Report NGI technical, schedule and cost activities in support of All Up Round (AUR) hardware and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) production and deployment
Provide staff utilization and planning inputs to take full advantage of ability to provide contractor oversight and independent assessments
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
MS degree in STEM field with 12+ years of related experience in Production and Lifecycle Engineering
Active Secret clearance
Experience in the Production of Large Aircraft or Rockets/Missiles
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience leading a collaborative team to deliver rigorously planned, coordinated, and synchronized results
Familiarity with Failure Review Boards (FRB)
Ability to work independently
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
MS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with Manufacturing Emphasis
MDA Experience
Ability to develop documents for Program Reviews and Engineering Review Boards (ERB)
Strong research skills
