Job DescriptionOur growth and expansion efforts create an exceptional chance for an experienced sales professional to become part of our team. This role requires proven success in selling sophisticated software solutions to Financial Services firms aiming to upgrade legacy systems within the Life Insurance and Annuity sector, covering individual policies, voluntary benefits, and institutional annuity markets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Act as a primary advocate and challenge prospects and customers by using FAST’s trusted methods and strategies, addressing customers and prospects reliance on outdated technology and implementation practices.Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing, using CRM tools to track progress, forecast sales, and report key metrics.Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and challenges, and present tailored SaaS solutions that align with their business objectives, specifically focusing on streamlining operations, improving customer experience, and optimizing claims/underwriting processes.Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers including C-level executives, underwriters, and IT departments in insurance companies.Negotiation & Contracting: Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal structuring in collaboration with internal legal and finance teams.Customer Onboarding: Ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation by partnering with the enablement and customer success teams.Market & Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the Life Insurance and Annuity space to effectively position the solution.Attend conferences and industry specific events.Author/prepare responses to sales RFPs and create proposal documents as part of the formal bidding procedure.Cultivate named accounts while hunting for new opportunities.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in marketing, promotions, advertising, sales, business administration or other financial fields. Master’s or MBA desirable.Ten years software sales experience closing efforts nationally recognized Life & Annuity providers.Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with demonstrated ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals.Self-Starter: Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently to achieve goals.Deep experience closing sales to C-Level executives in Life and Annuity vertical.Demonstrated ability to manage/drive the complete Sales Life Cycle.Proven ability to achieve desired results both individually and as a part of the Verisk team.Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.Superior self-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Executive presence.Background in consultative selling methodologies, such as Solution Selling or Challenger Sales.Specialized Knowledge and Skills
