GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Assist members of the Emergency Department team and ancillary staff in the care of critically ill and injured patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in clinical assessment and care planning. (30%)Participates in the provision of safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements. (40%)Participates with the multidisciplinary team, including EMS, for the plan of care from presentation through disposition. (15%)Serves as a departmental liaison for EMS, both air and ground. (15%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

PA Paramedic Certification2 years field experienceCPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
