Job Description SummaryIdentify, prioritize, and drive delivery of region needs for service growth and productivity throughout the product life cycle. Lead and drive design for services (DFS), establish and maintain installation and warranty (I&W) standards, ensure service readiness for new product introduction (NPI), deliver variable cost productivity (VCP) for service delivery, and support end of life (EOL) programs.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Partner with the global services, product engineering, and marketing to ensure a cohesive service strategy flows into the Wuxi Ultrasound segment programs throughout the product life cycle.

Collaborate with the Lifecycle Director, marketing, region service, and engineering to develop value propositions for services features, DFx (reliability, workflow, installation, services, and refurb/repair), field modification instructions (FMI), and VCP.

Drive service growth, VCP, and DFx into all business and product development phases.

Identify and drive delivery of VCP projects for installation, warranty, and contract service with a target of >5% annual benefits (from segment baseline)

Work with the region service teams to set, monitor, and remediate (as necessary) product I&W standards.

New product introductions: Deliver service product concept proposals with value propositions, service design inputs, assess external evaluation and initial production results, and ensure service readiness for product launch.

Installed base: Confirm service capability and stability, ensure service sustainability for quality, parts, options, upgrades and refurb/reman offerings; own and drive I&W VCP plan; maintain a life cycle dashboard per product, keep stakeholders informed, and own the action plan to resolve problems.

End of life (EOL): Deliver region inputs, value propositions, and readiness for EOL.

Ultrasound lifecycle ambassador for China: Fully understanding the specific and local customer’s needs, the China Healthcare system, the GE Healthcare business in China, and Chinese market dynamics.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology within an appropriate discipline

Progressive experience in programs, technology, operations, or service

Business acumen and ability to develop customer and business value propositions and influence the segment to invest in customer-valued service features and cost productivity

Proven track record driving teams to deliver on business and program goals

Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, must be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions

Fluent in English language communications for business and technical purposes

Proven communication, coaching and interpersonal skills, at all levels of the organization; able to energize and inspire

Collaborative team player able to work closely with global product and region service teams, open to sharing information and best practices with the team

Desired Characteristics

Advanced degree in engineering or business

Multi-generation segment planning and experience with an understanding of product system architecture, platforms, and core functional technologies (equipment and services)

Program management, execution planning, and control competencies

Strategic planner with ability to drive change

Excellent knowledge of segment customers and region service-related needs

Demonstrated experience on global product development

Strong business acumen as well as customer-focused influencing skills

Demonstrated GEHC leadership values

Advanced six sigma certification; BB or MBB
