LifeSavers Packaging Operator

12-hour Night Shift following a 223 Rotating Schedule

The LifeSavers Packaging Operator is responsible for operating automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment used to package LifeSavers following established manufacturing procedures.  LifeSavers Packaging Operators are also responsible for on time and accurate hourly quality checks, escalation for downtime, and maintenance of equipment.

 

Job Accountabilities:

Perform general housekeeping duties in the packaging areaComplete frequent observation of work-in-process and the completion of required recording, such as Quality Control Point sheetsIndependently operate packaging equipment and downstream equipment and produce a quality wrapped LifeSavers product in a team-based environmentThis position requires the ability to both operate and train others on packaging equipment and downstream responsibilitiesParticipates in Mars Supply Excellence progression through the AM model or Focused Improvement Loss Projects

Skills Required: 

High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Basic math skills required to calculate ingredientsAbility to understand, read, write, and communicate in basic work-related EnglishPallet jack operationFilm life assist operationParticipate as a team player in accomplishing all company goals and objectivesHigh sense of urgency and accountabilityHigh Level of demonstrated problem-solving capabilityExperience with computers and touchscreen tabletsExperience with MS Office Products and OutlookExperience in TPM/Lean Manufacturing a plusSupports and understands the business, department and line goalsOther responsibilities and duties as assigned

Physical requirements:
