\n \n Job Description

Associa Sierra North in Reno, Nevada, has a vacancy for a Lifestyle Director at an on-site location. The Lifestyle Director serves as the manager of resident programs to include recreational, social, cultural, travel, and entertainment designed to enrich the quality of life and enhance the vibrancy of the community. The Lifestyle Director will also provide administrative and project support to the Community Manager and the Board of Directors. Hours for this position will include working some weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

\n\nDevelop, organize and coordinate community events, manage recreation operations, and create publications such as monthly e-magazine, event flyers and additional communications.\nEvent planning with strong administrative practices to include writing, budgeting and organizational skills.\nResponsible for the daily event functions of the association and to ensure that all members and guests are greeted with a welcome and smile. Provides excellent customer service to all members and guests at all times.\nResponds to all inquiries and provides other supportive services as necessary; answers telephone calls, responds to written and email communication and makes contact with members and guests.\nProvides administrative and project support to the Community Manager as required. Assists the Community Manager in establishing and maintaining management policy and procedures for the efficient functioning of administrative operations.\nEnsures all association rules and regulations are being followed at all times. Notifies management or direct supervisor if a member or guest is not adhering to rules and regulations.\nPerforms special project assignments at the Community Manager's direction.\nManagement of concierge staff and staff scheduling.\nWill be accountable for individual performance, the work of others, equipment, supplies, work product quality and safety.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements

Requirements

\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, etc.) at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of event trends for 55+ active adult lifestyles.\nKnowledge of the role of the Association Board, the Community Manager, and how those roles interface with the requests of homeowners.\nKnowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.) at a stellar level.\nMust possess a high level of energy, social skills, initiative, enthusiasm, and cooperation, and exercise good judgment and discretion.\nSelf-motivated, outgoing, proactive, keen eye for details and a team player.\nTime management and prioritization skills.\nAbility to work nights and weekends.\n3 - 5 years of experience in coordinating and promoting recreational activities. Fundraising, non-profit, public relations, event, meeting and conference planning experience helpful.\nBachelor’s Degree in recreation, hospitality, event planning, or communication fields preferred.\n\n
