LIFT Academy Tuskegee - Admissions and Recruitment Advisor
**Job Category:** LIFT Academy **POSITION PURPOSE** Processes all applications, transcripts, test scores and correspondence for new, re-enrolling, transfer, outreach and international student applications for LIFT Academy. Maintains in contact with student from admissions to orientation. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES** _To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily._ + Manage all official student documents and ensure students meet all standards set by the Academy and the FAA + Make appropriate recommendations on admission eligibility. Analyze and solve problems regarding admission issues + Evaluate student records. Perform degree checks and transcript evaluations. Manage and maintain records and databases + Analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements. Assigns students to specific class + Process all applications for admissions using Applicant Tracking System; review and update student information throughout application and enrollment process. + Provide quality customer service to students and parents in answering questions and assisting in the admissions process. + Meet with academy departments as necessary to evaluate enrollment process and develop new processes when needed + Assist in monitoring admission interviews and screenings + Provides students with proper paperwork prior to class + Provides student with payment information. Acts as a mediator between US Credit and student + Attends orientation, provides student support and uploads student paperwork + Assist with mass direct mailings + Performs other duties as assigned. **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** _The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job._ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. + Associates degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience + Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel) required + Understanding of academic standards governing student probation, suspension, and/or expulsion + Familiarity with student recruitment and retention issues + Understanding of applicant tracking systems and ability to maintain student databases + Experience with organizational structure, workflow, operating procedures, and problem resolution + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal including a customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals in complex environments + Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information + Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and strong attention to detail including ability to self-monitor for quality control and accuracy + Desire to foster a cooperative work environment + Strong customer service skills. PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree in business, education or a related field. + Experience working within the aviation industry + Experience with college admissions LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. DECISION MAKING Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.
