Lift Director

Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Director to oversee crane and rigging operations at a data center construction site in Sparks, Nevada. The Lift Director will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing safe and efficient lifting activities, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, project schedules, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement detailed lift plans in collaboration with project managers and engineers Assess site conditions to identify potential hazards and ensure proper equipment placement and setup Coordinate crane and rigging activities with other construction operations to maintain workflow efficiency Conduct pre-lift safety briefings, inspections, and risk assessments Ensure compliance with OSHA, NCCCO, and other applicable safety and regulatory standards Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate safety measures, PPE, and protocols during lifting operations Supervise and direct crane operators, riggers, and other personnel during lifting activities Oversee the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of cranes and rigging equipment Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex lifting scenarios Maintain accurate records of lift plans, inspections, equipment logs, and incident reports Prepare and present progress updates and safety performance reports to project stakeholders Mentor and train crane operators, rigging crews, and other team members in best practices for crane and rigging operations Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on-site

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-7 years in crane operations, rigging supervision, or lift management roles Demonstrated success in planning and executing critical and heavy lifts on large-scale construction or industrial projects NCCCO certifications (e.g., LBC, TLL, TSS, Rigger Levels 1 & 2) required OSHA certifications and advanced rigging training preferred Strong knowledge of crane operation, rigging techniques, and equipment maintenance Proficient in interpreting engineering lift drawings and technical specifications Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while being detail-oriented Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Capability to inspect equipment and operate on uneven terrain

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a variety of cranes, including lattice boom, hydraulic, and telecrawler models Knowledge of data center or high-tech facility construction projects Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
