Lift Maintenance Technician Level 3

Location: Frisco, Colorado

Job Title: Lift Maintenance Technician Level 3

Job Status: Year Round Full Time

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $26.50 to $29.70+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:
Maintain lift equipment to ensure safe and reliable uphill transportation. This is an experienced permanent position in the lift maintenance field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all duties necessary related to the standard maintenance of Copper Mountains' lift equipment.

Perform duties necessary for shop and equipment maintenance.

Be competent in monitoring and maintaining all assigned lift equipment in accordance with manufacturers, engineering and/or Copper Mountain directive.

Be competent in departmental lift problem, breakdown and evacuation procedures.

Be competent with all related maintenance tools, equipment and parts.

Be competent in all departmental safety precautions, policies and procedures.

Be familiar with applicable standards, rules and regulations regarding aerial ropeway transportation and maintenance requirements.

Assist in training of Lift Operations staff and Level II Technicians.

Pursue advancing knowledge and skills towards Lift Maintenance Technician Level IV.

Will consider training the right person.

Administration Duties:

Professional documentation of maintenance activities per applicable standards, rules and regulations.

Guest Service Duties:

Required to provide guest assistance as necessary to ensure positive guest experiences

Other Duties as Assigned:

Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper "culture" with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guest's expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in providing direction and ensuring safe completion of assigned tasks to Level II Technicians.

Responsible for assisting in assurance of safe and compliant operation of all lifts by Lift Operations staff.

Basic Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Possession or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.

Eyesight must be 20/20 or near 20/20 using corrective lenses.

Hearing must be adequate for normal conversation levels. Use of corrective hearing device is permitted.

Must be able to stand and work in movement limiting situations for extended periods.

Must be able to endure work shifts of 10 hours/day or longer.

Ability and willingness to climb ladders and work at heights with necessary fall protection equipment.

Ability and willingness to work outdoors in high alpine mountain environment and associated weather conditions.

Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience & Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent.

2 years lift maintenance experience OR 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance OR Associates or higher degree in related field.

Proficiency with hand tools, hydraulics, rigging, heavy lifting, power tools, test equipment etc.

Proficiency in operation of snowmobiles, ATV's, snowcats, forklifts etc.

Ability to read and understand blue prints, manufacturer's maintenance directives and associated technical documents.

Ability to work as part of a team and independently depending on assigned task.

Visual, mag-particle and dye penetrant NDT experience.

Oxy-Acetylene torch and welding/fabrication experience.

CDL

Electrical systems familiarity.

Ability to recognize job associated hazards and respond accordingly to ensure personal and general safety.
