The Lift Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the lift operations across The Summit’s four base areas. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts, magic carpets, or other conveyance/transportation systems including mountain bike lifts in the summer season. The Lift Operations Manager is tasked with coordinating staff, implementing safety protocols, and optimizing the overall guest experience. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Safety and Compliance: In coordination with the Risk and Safety Teams, investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise lift operators, ticket scanners and associated activities in and around all lifts. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee regular maintenance and inspections of lift houses, collaborating with maintenance teams to address issues promptly. Guest Services: Monitor the guest experience through the NPS scores; share data and weekly goals in regular crew meetings Budget Maintenance: Develop and manage budgets for all aspects of lift operations, including maintenance, staffing, and lift maze equipment. Performance Metrics: Establish and communicate regularly key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the efficiency of all lift operations. Emergency Response: Coordinate with Risk & Safety, Patrol, and other departments to develop and implement emergency response plans for lift-related incidents or adverse weather conditions. Regulatory Complaince: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all lift operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred but not required. 3 plus years in leading lift operation teams. Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain safety protocols. Proven experience in lift operations or a related field, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Proven ability to build alliances across functions and departments. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards that are required to remain compliant. Wage and Benefit Info: The wage range for this positions is: from $28 to $32/hr (DOE). Benefits include: health, dental, vision Team member will accrue PTO and will earn 2 weeks or more in a 12 month period. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
