Forklift Driver | Kalamazoo | HIRING IMMEDIATELY at our Manchester Road location

 

 

 

Shifts: Night, 5:20pm to 5:30am, with 3 paid breaks

 

Pay: Weekly pay, starting at $20.55/HR, plus the $1/HR night shift differential

 

Schedule:

Week 1: Monday(work), Tuesday (work), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Weekend (work) 48 hours

Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (work), Thursday (work), Weekend (OFF)  36 hours

Week 3: Monday(work), Tuesday (work), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Weekend (work) 48 hours

Week 4: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (work), Thursday (work), Weekend (OFF)  36 hours and so on

Responsibilities

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Unload and receive packing and regrind trailers.Stage shipments for transfersMove regrind/virgin material to/from lines.Create and put away Hus.Keep production supplied with correct packaging.Dump trash using tippers.Operate stretch wrapper.Drain railcars.Other duties as necessary.

Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.Demonstrates ability to safety load and unload materials to/from designated storage areas, racks and shelves, or vehicles

Quality/Housekeeping:

Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant.Can demonstrate ability to maintain work area in clean, safe order. Qualifications

Operate Equipment:

Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as requiredAbility to feed and operate grinder without jamming or damaging grinder system

Inventory Control/Management:

Can demonstrate ability to accurately count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled, using daily production sheet or work ticketCan demonstrate proper techniques used to arrange materials/items in specified sequence for assembly and/or distributionDemonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems

Organization:

Demonstrates ability to be a self starter and work independently to complete assignments/responsibilitiesDemonstrates ability to organize and prioritize workload as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent experienceBasic math and computer skillsForklift certification/licenseGood oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsPretest ability to lift 75 lbs

ADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to:

Climb approved ladders and moveable stepsHeed safety warnings, devices and alarmsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingLift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.  Occasional lifts up to 75 lbs.  All lifts over 75 lbs require 2-person lift or mechanical assistancePossess adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
