LTO Dyeing Solid I/II
Position Objective:
To transfer full buggies and rolls from the inspection area to the Coater and then to bring back empty buggies.
We are currently looking to fill 3rd shift openings.
Essential Duties (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
o Update production logs and other SQS forms.
o Drive lift truck to move buggies and/or rolls throughout the plant as needed.
o Use a utility knife and a cross-cut knife.
o Assist Inspector with various duties.
o Inspect empty buggies for missing or damaged felt liners or ticket holders.
o Operate control panel to feed carpet into buggies or rolls.
o Operate computer and scanner
o Perform pre-shift lift truck audits.
o Match tickets to production schedule.
o Place scrap carpet in rollup.
o Responsible for ticketing the carpet once it is in the buggy.
o Cut carpet and carpet samples.
Physical Requirements:
o Must be able to sit, walk and/or stand intermittently for at least an 8 hour shift.
o Must be able to work in temperatures that range from 50 degrees to 110 degrees.
o Must be able to climb ladders, use air/water hoses, pick up garbage bags, work in wet and dusty environment and work in confined spaces.
o Must be able to climb 11 steps and reach above 6 feet approximately 4 times per hour.
o Must be able to pull carpet from overhead to the sewing table.
Other Requirements:
o Must be able to recognize letters and numbers.
o Must be able to read and understand English.
