Light Commercial Platform Strategy Manager

We are seeking a high energy, self-starter to work effectively across the organization with the goal of turning data into actionable insights and assisting product managers in launching innovating new products. **About the role:** The Light Commercial Platform Strategy Manager will work with product managers and cross-functionally to provide competitive intelligence, multi-generational product map coordination across portfolio, technical support, marketing tools, and voice of customer of Light Commercial HVAC equipment and associated accessories and controls. The successful candidate must have the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to leverage leadership, decision-making abilities, and technical aptitude to assist in meeting customer needs. Foundational skills for this role include data analytics, gathering voice of customer, project management, and general business management skills. **Key Responsibilities:** + Drive cross functional market research and voice of customer activities to support product roadmap development across the portfolio of light commercial products and new product requirements. + Work closely with product managers, commercial sales general managers, product engineers, factory teams and other internal departments to develop product marketing tools for distributors, contractors and/or end users to help increase sales, revenue, and margins and assist with product transitions. + Work with product managers and product engineering to assist in developing pre-sale technical materials that aid in the selection, application, and sales of light commercial products. + Support product managers and marketing with product launch tasks and creation of marketing materials; specifically ensuring alignment across platforms with launch, messaging, commercialization, and phase in phase out of new products. + Responsible for maintaining, identifying, and driving creation of solutions and tools including competitive comparisons, feature/benefit value, product gap analysis, platform performance, and sales tools creation in support of product launches. + A thorough understanding of the light commercial HVAC industry, the company’s products, and sales channels. + Lead continuous improvement projects to document and improve product marketing processes. + Champion the analysis of the competitive landscape to dictate long term decisions on product strategy. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years of experience in engineering, voice of customer, and/or product marketing **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in business or engineering preferred. + Understanding of HVAC applications and market dynamics preferred. + Ability to work in self-directed manner across multiple departments to identify needs of the organization and/or customer, articulate necessary proposals and see projects through to completion. + Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities. + Demonstrates self-initiative, sense of ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction orientation. + Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset. + Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions. + Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
